Z06 Instrument Cluster Graphics

Z06 logo has replaced the Corvette checkered flags on the tachometer, and the graphics have been accentuated on the tachometer. The new 6,500 rpm redline reflects the extended operating range and increased power output of the LS6 under the hood.

The numbers 0 to 7,000 rpm have been enhanced for a bigger, bolder appearance and added impact to what drivers consider to be their priority driving gauge. The numerals on the instrument cluster have been italicized to give the appearance of speed or motion, and the speedometer has been given a little bit more of a precision look, with the letters also italicized from the normal model and reduced slightly in size.

The surface of the new Z06 instrument cluster has a checkered pattern to differentiate the Z06 from the standard C5 cluster and for a connotation of racing and performance. At night, bathed in the glow from the twin black lights, the background pattern glows softly in the dark, giving the dash a bit of a visual pop. An antiglare coating was also applied to the surface of the cluster for daytime driving and enhanced visibility.
