For the 2001 model year, Chevrolet offers two types of Corvettes created for two very different Corvette enthusiasts. For the Corvette driver looking for the latest version of America's original sports car, the coupe and convertible models have been improved in terms of performance, handling, and overall driveability, thus representing the best-balanced car for the majority of Corvette customers.

Since the introduction of the C5 Corvette in 1997, each successive Corvette model year has improved in numerous ways over the original. The Corvette Team's commitment to the continuous evolution of Corvette remains a driving force, resulting in the best standard Corvette to date.

And just when you didn't think it could get any better, it did.

It is the Z06.

For a minority of Corvette enthusiasts, the coupe and convertible models are simply an excellent starting point for their idea of what the ultimate street/track performance car should be. It is a sports car with a singular focus: to excel on the road as well as on the track, to offer the ultimate in terms of horsepower, handling, and heart — it is the Z06. Visit the Z06 section to find out more.
