New Z06 Suspension

The Z06 has a new suspension exclusive to the Z06 — the FE4 — that has been upgraded to make the Z06 an excellent performer on the track and exceed 1.0G on the skid pad, all while still offering a ride that is satisfactory for everyday use.

FE4 Specifications

Front Stabilizer Bar Diameter (Hollow)

30 mm x 4.5 mm thick walls

Rear Stabilizer Bar Diameter (Hollow)

23.6 mm x 3.5 mm thick walls

Rear Transverse Spring Leaf

125 N/mm versus 113 N/mm of the Z51

Camber, front and rear: 0.75°

Greater negative camber (versus 0.25° for the other suspensions) helps to keep the tire flat in relation to the road and increases the tire contact patch for greater grip while cornering.

Caster

Front: 7.3°

FE4 Suspension Summary

The Z06 is very easy to drive and gives the driver plenty of feedback," remarks Tadge Juechter, Total Vehicle Integration Engineer for Corvette. "It's a quick learn, but the Z06 is definitely not for everyone — it's intended for a select few, diehard Corvette enthusiasts. For the majority of Corvette buyers, the coupe or convertible offer outstanding performance."

With its race-bred handling combined with the lusty power of the LS6, the Z06 was created to be a complete, integrated car, with each aspect of handling and performance complementing and enhancing the other for total performance.
